The Lady Dawgs traveled to the La Vega Pirate Invitational this past weekend and came home 4-0!! These girls showed up to play. We scored a total of 24 goals and only had 1 against us!
Thursday we started our journey with a 6-0 win over 5A Corsicana,
Caroline Valencia started us off with an assist by Amelia Griffin,
Lainey Rye got our next 2- assisted by Mekayla Johnson and Kaycie Banton
Freshman Brook Oliva got our next 2 assisted by Amelia Griffin and Caroline Valencia
Amelia Griffin went and got our last one assisted by Caroline Valencia.
Friday we started with Killeen Ellison where we went 6-1.
Amelia Griffin scored 2 of our goals assisted it by Brook Oliva and Sam Gaylord
Brook Oliva also got 2 goals assisted by Kaycie Banton and Amelia Griffin
Julie Suazo got a goal assisted by Brook Oliva and
Caroline Valencia finished us off with the last goal.
We had a quick turn around where we had China Spring next. We played China Spring last year in Bi- District and we won 1-0, so we knew they were coming out for blood. We rose to the challenge and came out and played hard and took a 4-0 win!

Amelia Griffin scored our other 2 goals assisted by Lainey Rye and Kaycie Banton.
Saturday we had one more game and we played Waco Harmony. We won 8-0.

Emily Wagner had a goal assisted by Julie Suazo

As you can see we had a GREAT weekend. This is the 1st time in Burnet Soccer history that we have won out a tournament. Coach Suarez and I are SO proud of the girls and what we saw this weekend!!
We are hosting a tournament this weekend and would love to see you guys out there! These girls are so fun to watch and we are excited about what is to come this season!
