Congratulations to Danielle Oakley, Rotary Student of the Month!

From Ms. Gegogeine:

Danielle has been an active NHS member since her sophomore year. She continually shines in the four pillars on which the National Honor Society exemplifies: scholarship, leadership, character, and service. Danielle earns grades that are exceptional, but more than that, she strives to truly understand the concepts rather than just make the marks. Danielle is a main leader in her classes and across the campus; she is there to set an example ,and help others along the way. Danielle is truly a young lady of character; she displays integrity, kindness, determination, grit and other not often seen traits everyday in all she does. Danielle goes above and beyond in serving her school and community; she truly is a servant leader- even when she is busy, she finds the time to volunteer and serve.

Danielle is not only NHS president, but is Senior Class president as well. She represents BHS on our varsity basketball and track teams. Outside of school, Danielle is a Club Leader in Young Life and also spends her time as a mentor to 4th graders with Academy 4.

After graduation, Danielle plans on heading to Texas A&M to major in Biology with the goal of becoming a Physician’s Assistant. No matter what Danielle sets her goals to, I know she will not only meet but will exceed these goals. The wonderful qualities that Danielle has exemplified here at BHS, I know will grow as she becomes a servant leader in this world.
