From Mrs. Massey:
It is an honor to have Baylee Warwick represent Burnet HOSA as the November Rotary Student of the Month.
Baylee is a three year member of HOSA and Social Officer of the BHS HOSA chapter this year. Baylee exemplifies “service above self” in her ability not only to be successful but to make those around her successful as well.
Her servant heart naturally leads her to helping and serving others. Baylee volunteers with numerous HOSA and community projects such as organizing canned food drives for LACare, blood drives for We Are Blood, toy drives for Dell Children’s hospital, and mentoring children at a local day care and through our school’s Diva Dawg program.
As a student, Baylee has excelled in the Health Science program at BHS. She has been a student in the Health Science Technology courses at Burnet High School for three years, HOSA for three years and currently serves as our school’s HOSA chapter Social Officer. During Baylee’s junior year, she successfully competed in Creative Problem Solving placing 1st at Area competition and advancing to HOSA State competition! Baylee dedicated over 100 hours last year towards successfully earning her Texas Nurse Aide Certification, which was challenging during a pandemic. Baylee plans to attend the University of Texas at Austin and pursue a career in nursing to become a Pediatric Nurse.
Baylee’s generosity and concern for others is exhibited in what she has done for her school and community. She gives unselfishly and truly exemplifies “Service above Self” in our next generation of leaders.
