The Bulldog tennis team hosted Taylor in a non-district, potential playoff preview on Thursday evening. With the homecoming festivities ongoing, the Bulldogs were short-handed, but still pulled out a victory 10-9.
With no mixed or #3 boys doubles, we started in the hole 0-2. Losses in 3 of the 5 doubles matches played put the score at 2-5 entering singles play. In a true team victory, the girls and boys each won 4 of the 6 singles matches getting the Bulldogs the necessary 10 points for victory.
It was encouraging to see some of our kids get their first individual wins of the season, which should give us some confidence moving forward. Next week we will host Belton New Tech in our penultimate district match before travelling to Marble Falls the following week.
