BHS Cheerleading is honored to nominate Lynzie Wilkes as the September Rotary Student of the Month!

Burnet High School Cheerleading is honored to nominate Senior Lynzie Wilkes for this month's Rotary Student of the Month. This is Lynzie’s fourth year cheering for Burnet High School.

Lynzie is committed to the squad while maintaining her grades, working a part time job, along with several other school activities.

Lynzie has shown incredible resilience and leadership throughout her time at BHS. She is actively involved in HOSA, SPH, Young Life and Varsity Cheer.

In Cheer, she demonstrates leadership every day. One example would be her young stunt group. Every member is new to the team and underclassman. Without hesitation she began teaching and coaching, with grace and authority. She ensures her flyer is safe. She encourages her fellow bases, gives positive and constructive feedback. Within weeks, her stunt group is one of the most advanced and consistent stunt groups capable of doing college level skills. None of this would be possible without her patience, guidance, and servant heart.

After high school Lynzie wants to become a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit nurse.
