Bulldog tennis kicked off the season on Tuesday afternoon (8/9/22), taking on Copperas Cove here in Burnet. While the dual match ended in an 7-12 loss, there were several very close matches that hinged on just a couple of points.
The early season match gave our very young team some much needed experience. This year’s team is more than 50% freshmen and sophomores, so the chance to get on the court and learn what it is like to compete at the varsity level will provide some big benefits down the road.
We will travel to Canyon Lake on Friday to take on the Hawks in some more preseason play.
