We started the second round of district 5-2. First, we had a big 7-0 win against Academy and then beat Florence 7-0. Amelia Griffin got our first goal with an assist by Caty Crow. Kaycie Banton scored the second goal with an assist by Lainey Rye. In the second half, Amelia Griffin scored 2 more goals, both assisted by Kaycie Banton. Caroline Valencia and Regan Shipley each got a goal, and Kaycie Banton got our last one of the night assisted by Hailey Bartlett.
Friday the girls showed up to play Gatesville. We beat them in PKS first round and this time around we won 1-0. The goal was scored by Caroline Valencia and assisted by Reagan Shipley. Our GK Juliet Morales and our defensive line Katelynn Massey, Emma Gonzalez, Emily Wagner, Adrianna Briggs and Hailey Bartlett have been a HUGE part in us not getting scored on and keeping the shutouts in each game.
With the three wins, this brings our record to 8-2 in district and we have snagged a playoff spot.!
We have 4 district games left, and Friday we hope you will come out and help us celebrate our 8 awesome seniors as it is our last home game. We play at 6:00PM VS Jarrell and would LOVE to see the stands in green..it is supposed to be nice weather :)
