Senior Letters of Encouragement
Students will write a letter for 10 days to different classmates for different situations. On the 11th day you will write a letter to yourself.
Letters should be encouraging and motivating.

- Draw name 1 to write a letter about being First day of classes. Record name on Google Doc.

There is white paper and art supplies on the front table. 
Create a one pager on paper or Google Slides. You must have:
1. Have the word PROCRASTINATION
2. Three things you have procrastinated on
3. An illustration for each of those 3 things.
4. Come up with one way (a plan in a sentence) for each thing that you will do to NOT procrastinate again.
5. Must be colorful.
6. Must fill the page.
7. Must have your name on it!

1. Think of a creative pose anywhere on campus, but keep in mind that you will be adding a thought bubble to the photo. I will show examples in class.
2. Submit picture in Google Classroom. 
3. You will be given a paper copy of a thought bubble. You will decorate and put what you are thinking about your future (after high school) in the bubble. You may put things such as: where you are wanting to go to college, what career you want to pursue, what you have to overcome or accomplish to reach your goals, etc...
4. You will turn the thought bubble in to your class tray. 
5. We will be hanging these in the hallway later this week.

2) Cut out the sweater template & fold it like a booklet.  Decorate the front of the sweater using the school colors, school logo, and mascot in an ugly sweater style.


*** We will have a competition with the other AVID classes voting on the UGLIEST sweater.

1) Find a logo & hand draw it onto the ornament.  
              Use pencil first, then marker or colored pencil.  
2) On the back write 3 facts about your college.

FAFSA: Group One Pager

Title the One-Pager appropriately to reflect the content
 Use colored pens, pencils, or markers. The more visually appealing it is the more your peers will learn. 
Fill the entire page. Be purposeful about the arrangement of your One-Pager. 
Use three visual images, either drawn or cut out from magazines, to create a central focus to your page. 
Place five essential vocabulary words/phrases around the images. 
Write your name on the back
Include:
FAFSA: What does it stand for
List 5 steps to completing the FAFSA
Include the website to complete the FAFSA
List the materials needed to complete the FAFSA
DEFINE SAR AND EFC
Include date FAFSA opens

Choose a College Essay Prompt from the list provided and write an Essay. Choose a prompt you feel would be generic enough you could use when filling out Applications and for Scholarships.

You have to show me or attach a screen shot that you can get on college board. You must have a personal email setup for this account.

Research 5 colleges/universities and find out 5 unique things about each.
Also, have 3 questions you need to find the answers to such as vocabulary words, acronyms, etc.
Write them on a Google Docs and turn in. Make sure each college/university is clearly stated.
