There is white paper and art supplies on the front table. 
Create a one pager on paper or Google Slides. You must have:
1. Have the word PROCRASTINATION
2. Three things you have procrastinated on
3. An illustration for each of those 3 things.
4. Come up with one way (a plan in a sentence) for each thing that you will do to NOT procrastinate again.
5. Must be colorful.
6. Must fill the page.
7. Must have your name on it!

1. Think of a creative pose anywhere on campus, but keep in mind that you will be adding a thought bubble to the photo. I will show examples in class.
2. Submit picture in Google Classroom. 
3. You will be given a paper copy of a thought bubble. You will decorate and put what you are thinking about your future (after high school) in the bubble. You may put things such as: where you are wanting to go to college, what career you want to pursue, what you have to overcome or accomplish to reach your goals, etc...
4. You will turn the thought bubble in to your class tray. 
5. We will be hanging these in the hallway later this week.

1) Answer the questions on the inside of the sweater.  You will complete 2 sweaters over 2 colleges.
 the one you have drawn... (we will draw Tuesday) 
 a college of your choice.
2) Cut out the sweater template & fold it like a booklet.  Decorate the front of the sweater using the school colors, school logo, and mascot in an ugly sweater style.


*** We will have a competition with the other AVID classes voting on the UGLIEST sweater.

After you have drawn for your college/university... (we will draw Tuesday)
1) Find a logo & hand draw it onto the ornament.  
              Use pencil first, then marker or colored pencil.  
2) On the back write 3 facts about your college.

I've attached documents that I use to teach you how to write this essay.
Pay close attention to Writing Assignment in the be the change document. This is your assignment. You can scroll all the way through the document and get helpful hints on how to write it. Next Monday, I will grade a rough draft. This should be an inclusive essay. Around 13/4 to 2 page essay.

2) Scroll down to Interest Profiler... Take a few minutes to answer 60 questions to identify occupations relevant to your likes and interests. Your results will lead you to a list of occupations for you to explore.

We will go over the difference between all these and fill out a doc that describes these types of conflict resolutions.
We will also read an article and mark the text to identify these types of conflict resolutions as well.

We will make a 1 - pager over the 10 step tutorial process.


Be creative and come up with your own way to represent the 10 phases. The attached doc talks about and illustrates the 10 phases. Review the process and create your own 1 - pager illustrating the 10 phases. I have attached 3 examples.

We will do this as a class.
    - On a C-Note, write down the E.Q. "Which Characteristics are important to colleges?" Then take a few minutes to brainstorm what characteristics you think colleges are looking for in their students.
    - Now compare your list with the one I've attached. Highlight the ones you have in common.
    - Now open the High School Community Activities document and fill out for both 9th and 10th grade years. Once finished, turn in to this assignment. You will need to download this to your drive so that you can have this to put in your portfolios.
