Unit 2 Celebrate Freedom Week: Patriotism, Nationalism, Character, Heroes, Sacrifices, Etc.

Unit 3 Human Geography: Economic systems, population pyramids; culture; patterns of settlement; urbanization

Unit 4 US and Canada: Compare physical and cultural regions of US and Canada, NAFTA, cultural landscapes, patterns of settlement, etc.

Unit 5 Latin America: Physical geography, cultures, patterns of settlement, and political and economic systems

Unit 6 Europe: Basic physical geography, then explore regional issues from a modern history perspective

Unit 7 Russia and the Republics: Explore the economic and political changes over the last hundred years.  Examine the unique cultural heritage Russia has managed to maintain.
