Campus Information

Nestled in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, Burnet High School is home to about one thousand students. Utilizing research based and proven curriculums that align with state standards and post-secondary goals, our dedicated team of teachers and staff gather weekly to develop powerful and meaningful instruction in order to ensure student achievement. Through this planning, teachers develop innovative ways to implement campus-wide initiatives, including Leader in Me. Through Leader in Me, our staff utilizes instructional materials and strategies that better equip our students with needed skills in order to be future ready. Our college-style campus lay-out provides a fluid transition to post-secondary education for our students.

In addition, for those students pursuing post-secondary degrees, BHS offers numerous CollegeBoard Advanced Placement courses for college credit, and through our dual-credit enrollment partnership with Angelo State University, students have the opportunity to earn over 50 college hours. Along with core academic pathways, BHS offers exceptional pathways in fine arts including music, dance, and theatre arts, along with the visual arts; extensive career and technology pathways including Agriculture Sciences, Welding, Construction Sciences, Education Training, Culinary Arts, Digital Interactive Media, and Business and Finance; additionally, BHS offers innovative STEM pathways including Health Sciences, Computer Science and Mathematics.

Crafting the Future at Burnet High School takes on many forms. Beyond classroom learning opportunities, BHS offers numerous student organizations, clubs, and extra-curricular activities for student participation, many of which ascend to state level competition including FFA, FCCLA, HOSA, Speech and Debate, UIL Academics, Interact, Esports, Student Council, National Honor Society, Band, Choir, Dance, and Theatre to name a few. Through our motto, Spirit, Pride, and Honor our students plan and lead several campus and community-wide events throughout the year including the district-wide pep-rally and homecoming bonfire, Christmas tree lighting ceremony, and Student Council coronation.
