Crystal Shipley

I am so excited for my 20th year in education! I have been working for Burnet CISD for 19 years and this is my fifth year at the High School. This year, I will be teaching AVID 1, 3, and 4 and I am also the head volleyball and girls' track coach. 

I graduated from McMurry University in Abilene, TX in 2003 with a major in Exercise and Sports Studies and a minor in Criminal Justice. 

I have a loving husband, Steven, who teaches at Quest High School. We have four kiddos: Ryan (19), Reese (17), Reagan (17) and Calan (14). We love being on the lake, taking family vacations and cheering on each other in our extracurricular activities.  

I love my job and how it allows me to teach young people about college and their futures through AVID. I have a passion for helping them set goals and striving to achieve them! In athletics, I am blessed to teach young ladies about volleyball and track and instill in them the hard work it takes to be a champion!
