well good afternoon Rotary Club I am excited to be back at the first Wednesday of the month Rotary meeting because you know what that means the school year has started and we are here with the mayor Schmitt the rotary student of the month for September congratulations thank you all right so I asked you this a minute ago is I was dusting the rust off of my uh student of the month interviewing skills okay um so I'm going to ask you a couple of the same questions right now but were you surprised when we recognized you in the chair room when was that was that last Friday Friday yeah yeah it's I didn't know okay okay so what it what did you think I was excited I wasn't quite sure what Rotary Club was okay so I asked around and kind of got more of an of what I got okay super that's a big deal it is it's a big deal all right and so we went into cheer class so obviously you're a cheerleader uh and you have done that all through high school yes all right what has been your most memorable memorable moments and cheerful moment H interior has probably been uh it competition my freshman year um we went to Nationals and we all had fun and it was like we all hung out and it was a really good like Fawn thing experience and we met so many different 2 teams and it was really fun okay cool where was Nationals it was in s Dallas yes Dallas were you JB coach that year yes was that oh Dallas I'm thinking Fort Worth Fort Worth is El UIL okay yeah okay yeah I I can say cheer competition is intense oh yeah for sure walking into the Fort Worth Convention Center I think there were like 88,000 students all in the lobby at 1 time and it's so loud everyone's talking we're all cheerleaders are all like high energy it's crazy but it's fine yeah it was high energy yeah yeah all right so hardest part about cheer and I and I'm taking all of the cheer questions and we just took coach shiplet cheat sheet away yes you did so I'm sorry okay last your question what's the hardest part of cheer the hardest part about here is probably I don't know it's fine it's it definitely pushes you to stride to be the best you can be even if your seat hurt even if you're tired you're like I have to do this for my teammates I 100% 110% in I can't let them down so it's definitely pushes you to become the best person you are okay very cool very cool love that you uh brought the team into that uh and just want to be the best version of yourself to support the team and not let others down so it's you're not by yourself you have a team you can't perform by yourself yeah absolutely all right any cheer questions from you coach triplet or any cheer information that you want to share about Amira um she is she's all about the team she always puts other people first she sees somebody standing off by themselves or struggling and she is the first person to walk over and include them which is awesome but I want to know what do you want to leave for the cheer team next year like what do you want to be remembered by for cheer that's a good question um I want to be remembered for always being the 1 if they need anything be like like next year when I'm not here I want them to be like oh there's performance or whatever reminds me of a mirror she would have had so much fun like that person or this reminds me of her like this like energy or an excitement and kindness and just like always being there for them okay because I am I will always have their back no matter what I know until they prove me wrong I know okay that's the only 1 question you you already um have that kind of Spirit uh about you because I can remember you from the summer just before school started students are you know coming back for football or summer workouts or band rehearsals starting the debts are here cheers here are getting ready for things and I walked through the dance room and I think y'all were maybe practicing for a convocation um and all along the days I'm asking students are y'all ready for school are you excited to be back of course everybody says yes but I can tell that they really are like no no no well you're standing there and I'm like are y'all ready and I I truly believe you're yes your energy like yes we're excited to be back at school uh you you either fooled me or you truly believe that so I was excited I I was excited for this year we're going to and it's going to be a good it's going to be a good year absolutely we're going to have fun and make a difference in our 2 teams yeah all right so you said you're excited for this year now there is something unique about this year for you it's only your third year in high school yeah but you're graduating in May yes so tell us about that graduating in 3 years and you have to know what your plan is before you graduate right right and that's a little stressful but it's also exciting I had a few ideas they're not I'm not disclosing them yet so but we'll see It'll everyone will be like oh that's where she's going in life she knows like she's excited because I know where I'm going to go it's going to be I'm going to make a different okay well as long as you know what your plan is then we'll we'll pass that so what did it take to graduate in 3 years how do how are you managing to accomplish that um it took a whole month of June I couldn't work could anything else friends it was very school school school ticker semester school this um it was hard it was I if you were a and if you have a strong hand on your shoulders I recommend doing it if it was good it definitely teaches you a lot of like self-discipline and time management but I it was difficult but I'm very I feel you feel really accomplished after the last um day I came in to take my test I was like I did that yes I did yeah cool very cool all right so senior year then what are you looking forward to most this year I am excited um to go to all the events and like not take anything for granted like I'm like swimming class I'm like okay I'm here like guess I might not want to be here but but it's your last time so let's take it in like um all the fun games and stuff the football games Friday nights uh volleyball games I'm so excited and it's your last 1 so mining up might as well go to all of them in young life all the events and being involved with that and helping um I'm a part of Wildlife and so I get to go around to the middle school and like help talk to them about uh young life and when they come up to high school hopefully they can join along Okay cool so we've got young life here um rotor members may not know what Wildlife is so tell us what tell us what wildlife and and middle school is um Wildlife is we actually just started this year our young life scripted but I'm 1 of the I'm not sure what they call it the team members or whatever but we get to go and like meet them and make sure that they get to feel like welcome coming into high school and uh I know that like teachers and coaches from middle school can pull like their teams and groups to have um Bible studies with them in middle school now and it's not just a high school thing okay cool very cool you mentioned work uh so to graduated early you had to take classes in junior you weren't able to work where do you work I work in Mojo I've been there for 2 years I'm a shift lead I train people I order all of our moat um and I send out like important messages is about like Specialties the first of the month sticker stuff and like right now we have pumpkin cold foam I have to get that all prepared for us yesterday for today so you know they have those special days where it's like a 9 stamp day do they still do that yes I always miss it oh why do you even I didn't even know about it you have so many in well yeah you're going to have to like give Coach triplet and myself the inside scoop on when a special day is coming up because I always miss it oh don't worry I can help you on that okay all right uh okay okay so you're not only involved in Young Life wildlife and cheer you serve in numerous organizations list those for us um NHS interact student council and then I think that's it was that Academy 4 Academy 4 and then maybe Lighthouse okay then they on okay and so Academy 4 really serving mentoring um you know fourth graders at Bertram um will be that Target group and then targeting not targeting but serving um inventory middle school students very young life and Wildlife is there something in your future with you know maybe working with kids or serving kids or is that just I love kids I love meeting new people and especially kids they're just so full of joy it's it's hard to be not yourself around them Okay it definitely brings out okay best first so if you could give your younger self a piece of advice like freshman year or middle school age years what what advice would you give your younger self um it's better to become the best version of you and be yourself than to try to be someone else okay that's a good 1 yeah all right theme days okay we got homecoming theme I know student council was working on some homecoming things stuff themed stuff today I know you'll have pep rally themes set but we do other themed days throughout the year what's your favorite well top 3 top 3 theme days student dress up theme days um probably twin day that 1's fun because you can pick a person and be like just a like um me my best friend accidentally do it on purpose all the time same outfit and then uh of course green out because everyone can wear green and then we're doing so sorry this for a minute I think that's going to be exciting so yeah quite some cool hats yeah and everyone can wear like their prints animal prints or even camo yeah I don't know what they're going to be yet because they're Undercover but my favorite theme days are when staff do undercover dress up days no that's fine so we won't tell anybody that's yeah so yeah there was a suggestion from some adults that we do more of those okay well so so y'all notice when we do that oh well I you I don't okay I don't know many others all right if you the next time we do it if you tell coach triplet hey it's an undercover dress up day and I think y'all dressed up as whatever it is we'll give you a bulldog coin okay okay okay deal I got them stashed in my backpack okay Coach triplet any more questions I don't think so I'm excited for her I really am so she's a very good representation of Bernard High School and cheer yeah absolutely I'm excited to hear what you're doing after graduating early since you won't Spill the Beans yet gotta keep some under your hat yep all right and you you're the first student we we um we always tell the students that there's going to be a a speech um and then not everybody's like ready this early but you're ready thank you yeah so cool all right we practiced earlier yeah well let's go do it right up front okay
