I am beginning my sixth year as GAC/Head Girls Basketball Coach here at Burnet High School after one year as the boys assistant basketball coach. Before coming to Burnet I was the assistant boys basketball coach at 6A Mayde Creek High School in Katy for four years. Prior to that, I coached in Mt. Vernon, Beckville, Dulles High School in Sugar Land, and Wills Point. I am married to BJ Gates who is the Coordinator of Elementary Curriculum & Instruction for BCISD. We have three children, Grace who is 17 and a senior, Ryan is 14 and a freshman, and Eli who is 11 and in the sixth grade.
